I visited Target last night to get a few final things for our nursery and my oh my, it just so happened to be the same day that Chip & Joanna Gaines launched their Hearth & Hand product line. ? I couldn’t help but stroll through the aisle, eyeing up every item they have for sale. I would take one of everything, please! And, it got me thinking, so many of the items would make great hostess gifts, too!
With the holidays just around the corner and my typical tendency to not arrive empty handed, I’ve put together a list of unique hostess gifts – that may even be better than wine! There are items suitable here for all different hosts + hostesses and these suggestions won’t break your budget. Seriously, putting this together was so much fun because I absolutely LOVE giving gifts.

Unique Hostess Gifts (that may be better than wine!)
Hearth and Hand with Magnolia Stoneware Pitcher
This pitcher can serve purpose for both beauty and function. It is a can’t go wrong kind of hostess gift! (By the way, it took just about every ounce of willpower in me to not put this in my cart while I was shopping last night.)
My sister-in-law gifted me this cookbook a few years ago and I absolutely love it. It’s unique + has incredibly tasty recipes. Also, it’s beautiful and could be displayed in the kitchen or even as a coffee table book.
Before you jump to any conclusions and think to yourself that is not unique, I:
(a) couldn’t help myself because — Joanna Gaines;
(b) think wrapping a loaf of your favorite bread in these towels would make it even more perfect;
(c) I would give you major bonus points if you have a jar of homemade jam to wrap up with it all, too.
I have strawberry jam from earlier this summer that I cannot wait to gift!
Rather than the typical candle jar, why not buy taper candles to bundle together into a bouquet? It makes a simple, beautiful and unexpected gift.
I’m sure there’s at least one gathering you’re going to that this gift would be entirely perfect to give to the hostess. Right??
Measuring spoons are something everyone uses in their kitchen, but treating your hostess to this dreamy set from Anthropologie is both stylish and thoughtful.
Hand soap seems like it’s a relatively common hostess gift. These soap petals are a fun twist and make a lovely presentation!
Present Over Perfect with some really good chocolate
I have mentioned several times (such as 5 Books Good for My Mama Heart) that this book is one of my absolute favorites. Gifting it in hard copy WITH CHOCOLATE seems like the best combination for the best hostess!
