We celebrated Mark’s birthday this past weekend and it was so fun. The girls were incredibly excited about the party planning – as in, we had a few friends and family over for lunch on Saturday — but that alone was a big enough party for them. ? They picked out the biggest chocolate cake EVER from Costco and debated how many candles we should put on it. They also made the sweetest book from Luhvee Books to gift him.

We were able to select a pre-populated template called “I love my daddy” which made it suuuper simple to put together. I didn’t spend hours designing the pages with little kiddos in my lap and fingers reaching to touch the keyboard. I quickly uploaded photos to use and selected which pages to drop them into. Each page had text prompts that we could “fill in the blank” with our personal thoughts and responses. We did change a few of the statements to completely customize them on our own, but mostly used what was already there because, well, it was SO easy + the book template was so thoughtfully and sweetly created.

Our honest feedback and considerations:
- The book is lengthy and did feel slightly repetitive to fill in – this is where customization came into play.
- Mark asked if there were supposed to be some pages with just text, not containing photos. Yes, it was designed this way! We are just used to most photo books having pictures on every single page.
- The price point is higher than most other books we’ve created + shipping prices were more than I would typically pay.

The benefit to the Luhvee Book is that it was specifically designed as the perfect gift for the girls to give their daddy. I also appreciated the ability to customize without having to create the entire book from scratch. I don’t think I ever would have finished it with the girls if I designed and wrote it on my own. PLUS, I really like that there are several different templates available for different people you love. We may just be considering making these as Christmas gifts for Grandma and Grandpa (Shhhh!). ?

I’m happy to report that the girls loved showing Mark the book we made and that he had a great birthday. (See our cute birthday photo over on Instagram!)
